Seven minute short film "Wedding Night" written by
Charles Breiner and Ben Conner (world premiere: 2008 Waterfront Film Festival). Directed by Breiner, the film follows a
newly married couple (Amy de Jong, and Gerrard Van Halsema) as they
spend their wedding night in a bed and breakfast. There they encounter
the owner (Kim McDaniels) who is too excited about love birds under her
roof. Over the course of the evening, the couple reflect on the
decision that has changed their lives and look toward the uncertain
future.
"Wedding Night" was shot over the course of two days at Calvin College,
where a full bedroom set was built from the ground up. Beautifully
captured by director of photography Ben Conner in only four dolly shots,
Breiner and Conner collaborate to create a film that is ambitious,
thought-provoking and uniquely accessible.
